Well, given the discussions I've heard here, I doubt your the only one,
but I gave up caring about any possible advantage that VMS might have
had the day Dave Cutler went to work for MS. I mean, talk about selling
your soul...

I was a pretty hard core *nix geek prior to that: that only re-enforced
my perception that DEC's software people really needed to buy a clue. 

Then again, my idea of ideal hardware is an Xerox D-machine or a
Symbolics UX-1200 VME board for a Sun box(I'd damn near do anything for
one... Anyone here got one for sale???). Good as *nix is, the real Lisp
Machines blow it completely out of the water. To me, the best DEC is/was
a PDP-10 running Interlisp...  ;'p
