every sparc i've run across is more than happy to boot from bootp.  even the
vax and pmax boxes are happy to boot from bootp.  BUT, keep in mind that the
Javastations are WEIRD boxes that sorta break a lot of conventional operational
characterisitics of sun hardware.  they are hacked up slaptogether boxes.

just fair warning. :)
