Josh - think *bigger desktop* not 2x copies of the same screen. I can 
add a monitor, use it to display a web page, and edit the source on the 
laptop LCD. The LCD screen is 1152x8?? resolution, the additional 
monitor can increase that to, let's say 2400x8?? workspace, over two 
devices (LCD and monitor).

I've *never* seen intel-based hardware support that, though some allow 
you to add second video cards to docking stations under WIn2K & Win 
98/Me.
