[rescue] network setup solaris 7

I've had very good luck using static IP addresses, and
I have a dyndns.org account that gives me a "second
level" domain (or third, I dunno) of
"n2vip.dyndns.org", so when I build a box, it is
"newbox.n2vip.dyndns.org" and the domain name look up
works, becuse I have enabled wildcard mapping at
dyndns.org (anything).n2vip.dyndns.org will point to
my one dynamic IP address for my DSL line.

I prefer not to config Solaris boxes via DHCP - the
DHCP my Linksys puts out does not seem "complete"
(Solaris seems to want more info than the router wants
to/can provide), but I only played with it briefly...

HTH,

Ken
