Hi all,
I've been reliably informed that RAM from the E[3456A]k systems will not
work in any other Sun systems outside that line (x000 and x500 where
applicable). I'm wondering if it's usable in any of the wacky DRAM
DIMM-based PCs and if anybody has success stories to report on that.
>From a photo at memoryx and my Asus motherboard manual, it appears that
the dimms are 60ns 3.3V Buffered, probably EDO ECC DRAM?
Got a line on some and I don't have an Enterprise server at home (yet) but
I do have a lot of really screwy PCs with DRAM DIMM slots (Micronics Dual
Fortress, HP Vectra XU) that don't use PC66 or U5/U10 RAM so I might have
a use for it after all.
Thanks,
Rob
