I'll second that - explosions are wild stuff.  Standing next to one of any
size (or even small size) is not to be belittled or trifled.

Ever see half a pound of black powder go kablooie?

A freind tells the story of 9 pounds of acetylene in a coleman fuel bottle,
plus a spark plug, and a battery.  He was temporarily deafened, dazed, and
the ATF was out there the next day to survey the site.
