Mine has a framebuffer lifted from an ss1 or somesuch, and it does
use a type 5 keyboard, quite happily, and the e10 17'' monitor.
Works fine.  On a lark, you might hook up a serial console and run
a set-defaults to clear any odd prom settings.  I vaguely remember
doing that on mine, before the monitor came up.
