[rescue] CDDI/FDDI from Cisco (old stuff--any good?)

With all this discussion of FDDI & CDDI, are they really faster than 100bt ethernet?

I have a couple of FDDI sbus cards, one is the Sun 1.0/2.0 card that Solaris doesn't support, and the

other is a Zeitnet card that I know nothing about. Anyone know anything about Zeitnet? Are drivers

available, it it worth trying to get working, etc. If FDDI/CDDI is really faster than 100bt ethernet

then I might try getting my machines here at home connected via FDDI.
