>Comdisco is selling *their* surplus, not reselling

Yes, and that's exactly the point. I can, in theory (if I have disposable cash) go to an auction and pivk up stuff cheap enough to resell.

Then I find another. change becoems.

Not the point, really. I'm saying tht all stock has value. My assumption in the response was that I was dealing with a more or less professional reseller. Space requirements tend not to be quite as stringent for people who run a warehouse/storage system. Sorry if my assumption does not make a Universal Truth :)

I never said to save everything. the difference between a vic20 and a pdp11 has something to do with utility, expandability, "hackishness", and numbers.

The point remains that there will be lulls, and there will be people with a few hundred dollars who don't want to wait, don't care to search for a place to contact for "if and when they have more".

Mike's U5's aren't going to go back up to 850 in "market" value, perhaps. But they will go up as long as you can only find 1 or 2 listings for similar items on ebay at a given time.

I simply do not belive that- since "space = $$" comdisco is going to start an ebay auction house. (I'd love to do that for a company, but that's an aside) you don't just take a warehouse and toss up a few listings and it magically goes away, after all.
