  Very true, and we shouldn't lose sight of that fact, although the
rest of the industry seems to have.

  Microsoft, however, will market their "operating systems" as being
"designed for, tuned for, great for, 100% fit for" whatever
application they think is "big" today.

  I remember their advertising that NT was "designed for use with the
Internet" when its native networking protocol wasn't TCP/IP.
