DNS is not realtime.  PERIOD.  depending how far you are from the primary DNS
server it could take quite a while to get updated.  RR DNS is in general a
rather bad idea unless your RR DNS entries point to load balanced server pools.
(like multiple mirror sites on different datalinks)
