Check the DIMMs are in the correct slots (SS10 hardware manual available
at docs.sun.com, or the hardware FAQ). I believe the SS10 is fussy about
which slot RAM is in. I managed to put a DIMM in the wrong slot once and
though OpenBoot recognised the RAM, booting SunOS bombed.

32MB DIMMs do work if OpenBoot is v2.25 (or possibly other later versions).
When I tried 32MB DIMMs in v2.7 and v2.9 OpenBoot they were recognised as
16MB, upgrading OpenBoot to v2.25 the same DIMMs were correctly recognised
as 32MB.
