[SunRescue] HP PS printer simm?

Howdy!  I was just going through a bunch of our older LaserJet 4
printers, prepping them for sale (I'll probably offer them here), and
found a rather strange device in one of the SIMM slots.  The thing has
an HP part number of C2080-60001/HP A-2948-56.  Looking up C2080 on the
web finds me one thing saying that this is a LaserJet 4/4+ Post Script
SIMM.  Does anybody know more about this beast?
