[SunRescue] SparcServer 670/MP O.S. Options / VME Support?

I suspect there are still *many* SS/10 & 20 in the field, under lucrative
support contracts, performing valuable work...

Now, if Sun were to offer to swap all SS/10 & 20 under contract with, oh, a
low-end Ultra-1 refurb for free - how many folks would take them up on that
offer?

Just a thought - that would be one way to guage end-user commitment to Sun4m
arch.

Release notes for Solaris 8 say sun4d (SS1000 and 2000) are EOL'd. It does
NOT mention that for sun4m (SS10, SS5, LX, etc.) and Sun has always been
good
about giving at least one release notice. So I doubt the sun4m will go away
for Solaris 9
