[SunRescue] SparcServer 670/MP O.S. Options

Per www.NetBSD.org - they support all mbus modules on Sun4m but they don't
say anything about VME on Sun4m (http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/sparc/). They
do however mention that they do not support VME bus on the Sun4c
architecture. YMMV.

Just my $.02,

Makes sense, now that I think about how the bus works and the jumpering you
do to get it to work, etc.

I'm currently running 2.5.1, but I've thought about trying something more
"modern", etc.

Anyone know how the *BSD's fare on this hardware?

Steve

I ran Redhat 6.x on my 670MP before I bought 2.5.1 recently. The memory
cards work fine, as they are accessed via hardware, not software, if that
makes sense. As for the other VME cards, you're pretty much out of luck...

If you need 2.5.1, drop me a note offline.
