I've got one of those at work. 64MB really isn't enough for an ultrasparc
desktop, at least when you are using something like CDE. I stay deep into my
swap partition all the time and sometimes loose the whole X session when in
Star Office. And if you do get one with 8bit, as far as I've been able to
tell you just have to live with it or get another framebuffer.

The newer U5s, I have heard, are nicer.

Our Ultra One has been a nice box (but we keep 256MB of RAM on it), note
that it is SBUS, not PCI (if that makes a difference to you).

If *I* were looking for another box, I think I'd get an ultra 2.
Multi-proccessors and (if I remember correctly) a higher max speed CPU than
a ultra 1.

Of course the best computer is the one you own.
