Thanks for that advice, I realise that now too. It didn't occur to me at 
the time. Also I was working an after-work stretch with my boss to do 
the move and we wanted to get done. On top of all that, I hate 
disturbing the inside of working machines without good reasons. It's bad 
juju.

I don't know, perhaps I can but I don't want to do anything draconian 
like kill the mpt drivers because there's another mpt card in the 
machine running the RAID which very much needs to work. It's a tricky one :3

It's a blessed inconvenience only because I have the backup scripts 
setup on a cron job that emails me a report every night and I have to 
wade through a pile of mpt-statusd crap to read them now!
