Pulled the trigger on 8 Gigs of ECC DDR3 RAM from Newegg - $69.99 & free S/H.

That's a small enough premium for ECC over non-ECC for me to make the leap.

BTW, some comments on the server listing at Newegg lead me to believe non-ECC
RAM is supported.
