A drastic drop in usable capacity is a symptome of dead cells. I
suspect the effectice capacity of the individual cells has drifted
considerably. Now the balancer in the BMS isn't able to balance the
cells properly because the bypass currents get to high. This confuses
the BMS / charging / monitoring circuit...
