AFAIK, the only Galaxy available is the 7 inch, but there are various
ones coming soon. :-)

nooks are not sold here. You have to get someone to buy it for you and either
ship it or bring it in their luggage. 

The Asus is relatively new, it's close to 3,000 NIS.

The Acer is not yet here. 

You've given some really good ideas, thanks, I'll keep looking.
