No hard facts, but my expectation is a lot less. 

I also just installed the MacPorts version of X on my Mac, and using 
it as in "X -query <client>" and logging in, it's much much faster
than bringing up an XVnc X sever and accessing via VNC. 

Note this is via a WiFi LAN connection.

Yes, I know OSX includes X windows but the keyboard support is broken and
the latest security update removed TCP/IP support.
