Possibly, but I doubt it.

Spammers frequently intentionally redirect the backsplatter to innocent
third parties giving them little opportunity to 'clean' their address
lists. 

As evidence, I'm still getting spam at "eredith at cv.port.ac.uk" despite
the fact that was never a valid email address and the correct address
(meredith at cv.port.ac.uk) hasn't been used since the mid 1990s. Yes
spammers have been known to suffer from fencepost errors :)
