Just a run-of the mill NAS or Database server really. Spreading data
out over an array of smaller drives vastly improves transfer speeds,
and also 12 disks is a pifflingly small number compared to the 48 that
the X4500 will carry. If I had a separate room/building for my servers
I'd have somethig like this setup myself.
