Have you *considered* selling the stuff, then buying on the other end?
Obviously you can not do that for things with sentimental value, but  
if you save $2000 form the cost of moving, and obtain some additional  
funds from the sales, it may come out in the wash.

just an option - rent a small box truck and tow dolly and haul the lot
herself.
