No ears, but if you read the article it talks about other vendors that have 4U and nearly 5U high media PC cases that look "odd" when placed around other components...

Shallow server cases are available, SuperMicro makes 14" deep cases, but that really limits the hardware you can install (like one or two HDs, optical drives are usually notebook/slimline drives, etc. There are some that even have VFD displays, like the Cobalt rack mount systems with a small cluster of switches for input/feedback.
