It depends. When AMD bought the Geode line from National Semiconductor,
the Geode was an fast Pentium (I) clone. They later applied it to
their laptop chips. now sold cheaply as low power regular chips.

The 1gHz Geode is a laptap version of the Athalon chip and relatively
fast. I don't know what this one is, I expect it's a low power version
of the 500mHz Duron, which would make it very close in performance
to a PIII.
