How does THAT work?  Are they assuming everyone is using the stock headphones
or what?  Different headphones will have different decibel outputs at the same
volume setting depending on their efficiency, for one thing.  The shape of the
headphones and how far they are crammed down in your ear will also make a
difference.  These probably increase it even more:

Yesterday I was testing the noise cancelling headphones I got for Christmas
on my ipod while I was vacuuming the living room.

SWEEEEEET except that now I have no excuse for not vacuuming.
