16 port 10/100 Netgear switch with 2 Gigabit uplinks $129:

8 port 10/100 Netgear switch with 1000BaseSX fiber uplink $60:

Just a few thoughts - I am thinking of cleaning up my home network, and I like the idea of the 24 port rack mount switch at $79 (because it is rack mount and 10/100, but I don't *need* 24 ports in my rack...).

I've had good luck with justdeals.com - their stuff is usually Mfr. refurbs in white boxes (not retail packaging), and new items from CompUSA are well, as you'd expect ;^)

Hope this helps,

Lionel
