How much RAM do you have?  If less than 512MB, I would add that.  

Also, you might want to experiment with the -S (I think) flag to SA
that tells it to stop processing emails after they pass the spam
threshold you have set.  This might save you some CPU.

Yes, they will accept up to 137GB or so directly.  After that you
would need to figure out how to add an ATA/133 card, which supports a
larger drive.
