Some people have reported that you can put other things in them, but
they are not electrically standard PCMCIA.  Those are specifically
designed for Airport use only.
I wouldn't put anything else in them for fear of the magic smoke.  The
Apple Manuals specifically tell you they are not PCMCIA.
