As a side note, has anyone actually tried the ethernet-over-power
devices? I, unfortunately, live in a house with big bloody steel
girders for the frame, with solid plaster walls. I.e. my wireless range
_sucks_.

Also, because of the plaster, running Cat 5 is out of the question.

The only other option open to me is significantly boosting 802.11b xmit
power, but that makes me a bit nervous.

Any suggestions?
