Also lots of it in the North Carolina state government, several of the 
southeastern major regional financial institutions and Merck & Co.

Lots of the real work gets done on the back end (client server model) 
but VB is "good enough" for a pretty end user GUI, and actually has 
decent RDBMS integration.
