  I do program in FORTRAN...but Cray hacking, as cool as it is, isn't
my primary computing activity, nor it it my paying job.

  The Cray C compilers are quite good, as one might imagine, but I
haven't done any benchmarking.  I should do that; the results would be
interesting no matter what the outcome. :-)
