For my first baby (yes, it's my baby, even though my wife did all the
work) we went for an early US, because of a previous miscarriage, so we
got to see the lima bean stage, and yeah, that heart beating is really
cool.  The "normal" time ultrasound video tape got labeled "Lima bean
turns Alien".

I'm rather good at catastrophizing, so going to an ultrasound session
and seeing a nromal baby on schedule is one of the happiest days of my
life, every time, and both our kids ended up with two.

OK, I'll shut up, I know when it comes to kids I go on and on and on
an....
