CB> Hmmm, This is a tall order. If there's one thing being semi-unemployed gives
CB> you it's plenty of time to read.

I read regardless - it's my addiction of choice. ;-)

CB> C.S. Lewis: The chronicles of Narnia (re-read, just got a great new omnibus
CB> edition with the original illustrations)

Good light fiction - I loved these books but a relative "borrowed" my
set and hasn't given them back yet.

CB> J.K. Rowling: The potter books up til now (saw the movie then re-read the
CB> books, once again, all of them very quick reads)

Haven't gotten to these yet. They're making the rounds at my friends
and the first one hasn't gotten to me yet. Saw the movie though and
liked it!

CB> Am I crazy or does anyone else do this with their favorite authors or
CB> series? Any time the following authors write a new book I buy it, read it,
CB> then go back and re-read all of the previous books in the series, or in the
CB> case of some of the more prolific authors all of the books with those same
CB> characters.

Robert Jordan, David Weber, other miscellaneous stuff... You're not
alone in the re-reading thing. I've personally taken days in the past
and re-read whole series consecutively. Not that I have time for that
now...

CB> David Eddings

Haven't gotten his latest. Still have "Polgara" waiting to be read
next to my bookshelf. I think I'm having trouble getting through the
narrative style.

CB> Mercedes Lackey (only the SERRAted edge and Urban Fantasy series)

Another author I've always wanted to read but never gotten around to
it. Does anyone else have trouble starting with a new author from one
of the newer books instead of starting at the beginning?

CB> Robert Jordan

See below.

CB> J.R.R. Tolkein: The lord of the Rings (once again saw the movie now re-read
CB> the book)

Just re-read all three of the LOTR books after seeing the movie. Will
probably go through them again before the next movie is out.

CB> Ursula K. LeGuin: Earthsea Omnibus (re-reading, on order for three months)

I can't find it anywhere local here either. I think it's going to be
a Borders special-order because I still have gift money for that
store.

CB> Robert Jordan: The next "?$^&??"Y^$_! wheel of time book. God Would he just
CB> finish the $?%*"%^&^&"?$ things off before he gets colon cancer and dies

LOL! I think I hear this complaint from _everyone_ I've ever met who
reads that series - myself included. I think it's got about two more
books to go from the feel of things. Although things may be a lot
faster now that he has "cleaned" the male side of the One Power.

CB> Oh and of course I'm always looking for suggestions

David Weber - "Oath of Swords" and "The War God's Own". Two very good
fantasy novels by a good tactical historian.
*Must...resist...pimping Honor Harrington series again...* ;-)

Nothing else at the moment - unless I can download it free onto my
Palm Vx and read it during breaks in the day. That and my addiction
to the Palm OS game Space Trader seems to fill the very small empty
moments.

Anybody know of a good keygen list for Palm software?
Contact me off list please.
