A P-166MMZ is perhaps a bit slow for X11 & Squeak on the same machine.
If you happen to have a fast network connection to some other X11
display then you should get somewhat better performance.

(I find it a bit slow on my P-II 300MHz sometimes, at least in the
morphic worlds -- good old MVC is quite fast though)

I tried it on a 700MHz P-III some time ago and was less than thrilled by
the not-very-stunning speed up.  I think part of the problem is the lack
of L2 cache on the P-III, but also no doubt part of the problem was the
low-end S3 on-board VGA....
