Will not make a byte-for-byte copy.  Any boot sector, for example, will
not be copied.  Nor will extra tracks on the disk.  It might do Bad
Things if the disk contains hard-linked files.  It will miss out any
information which your OS "conveniently" ignores for you, like the ISO
9660 file version field, or other systems' proprietary extensions, and
so on.
