ht:dig is a search engine; it was basically sucking down ALL the pages so
it could index them.. I contacted a guy @ Auburn, and he got it fixed - 
they'd forgotten to turn on the "dont go outside this site" feature, and
someone had a link to the mailing list archives in a post, so it dutifully
followed the link.. 8-)
