[SunHELP] polled cmd failed.

hello all,
i am a relative newbie so please excuse my ignorance.  i am trying to install solaris 10 on a sun enterprise 3000.  i issue a break to enter the openboot prompt at which point i issue a 'boot cdrom'.  but everytime i do so i can the following error:

and it continues to output this and does not progress any further.  i am unsure as to why this error is occuring.  i want to say it is the cdrom drive but am not sure.  would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?  any help is appreciated.  thank you very much.
