Hi!
I have configured tcp_wrappers 7.6 on Solaris 7 Ultra 5 SPARC.
Edited the inetd.conf file (same is attached) as per the requirements.
Restarted inetd daemon using HUP signal, getting following error messages:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------
inetd[213]: Bad service syntax in config file (/etc/inetd.conf)
Jul 8 16:01:25 dnnet.in last message repeated 5 times
Jul 8 16:01:25 dnnet.in inetd[213]: config: rstatd/rpc/udp still active and
was not reconfigured.
Jul 8 16:01:25 dnnet.in inetd[213]: Bad service syntax in config file
(/etc/inetd.conf)
Jul 8 16:01:25 dnnet.in inetd[213]: config: 100083/rpc/tcp still active and
was not reconfigured.
Jul 8 16:01:25 dnnet.in inetd[213]: Bad service syntax in config file
(/etc/inetd.conf)
Jul 8 16:01:25 dnnet.in last message repeated 1 time
Jul 8 16:01:25 dnnet.in inetd[213]: config: 100235/rpc/tcp still active and
was not reconfigured.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------
Again I reverted the configuration to old file and restarted inetd, this
time got these error messages:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------
Jul 8 16:01:25 dnnet.in inetd[213]: config: 100235/rpc/tcp still active and
was not reconfigured.
Jul 8 16:30:13 dnet.in inetd[213]: config: rstatd/rpc/udp still active and
was not reconfigured.
Jul 8 16:30:13 dnnet.in inetd[213]: config: 100083/rpc/tcp still active and
was not reconfigured.
Jul 8 16:30:13 dnet.in inetd[213]: config: 100235/rpc/tcp still active and
was not reconfigured.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------
Can you pls check and suggest if anything is wrong with this?
Thanks & Regards
Charu
