Hi,

You should try different serial connectors/cables.
this because some models have a different pin layout,
You could also change the cables that you use, it should not matter although
some times it does

Cheers
Patrick

Subject: [SunHELP] V880 -> serial connection via ethernet cable???

Hi,

I need to connect our V880 to a Cisco access server
via an ethernet cable connection.
The problem is, that the V880 has only one serial
port and it's not an RJ-45 one but a 25 pin serial.

I have a converter from that 25 pin serial to an
RJ-45 but it doesn't work.
If I just plug the cable to the converter, I still
can't see the OBP on the server.

Do you have any idea on how I can solve this issue?

Thanks!

John
