I am indeed; ntp-4.1.1 on both babylon5 and minbar. I'm currently
attempting to compile ntp-4.2.0, but it's not cooperating. The other
clients are Windows 2000 boxes using Dimension4 and time/tcp, and Linux
boxes (also running ntpd) which are syncing with netdate. I have
discovered that ntpdate on the Linux clients also fails, so it becomes
clear that something is not working correctly with babylon5's ntpd, but
I don't know enough about ntpd to figure out what's wrong.
llioness:root:~:8 # killall ntpd # to free the ntp socket
llioness:root:~:9 # netdate babylon5
babylon5 -0.249 Thu Oct 23 13:35:34.000
llioness:root:~:10 # ntpdate babylon5
