[SunHELP] changing a top level directory with respect to links

I have a file system where the layout is:

mountpoint: /dev/dsk/dev/dsk/c2t0d0s4 /apps
Here is a valid directory: /apps/u50
a symlink exists: /u50 -> /apps/u50

I am going to move all files contained in /apps to a new disk, but I want
to mount the new disk as simply /u50 thus replacing the name /apps and
removing the need for the /u50 symlink. My main concern is whether the
existant symlinks further within the filesystem tree, will be able to find
the files that they point to.

So basically I need a heads up on how I would approach moving all symlinks
to point to /u50... instead of /apps/u50... if needed. Can/Will this
problem be tackled during the copy?
