Running SUNSparc Ultra5 Sun OS2.7
Earlier I had the problem of my SUN machine not updating the system
clock.
And whenever i gave the date command i get this -
     #date
     Sun Dec 31 05:30:02 IST 1967
The system would not accept the manual setting as well....
     #date 1126110503
     Sun Dec 31 05:30:02 IST 1967
Thanks to all you people who responded and suggested there could be some
kind of loose string on motherboard. But without even touching the
motherboard the problem seems to have been rectified since 28 Nov 2003
and
the system is regularly updating the clock.
But the cat /var/adm/messages is giving the following output since
then -

    Dec 4 05:05:55 dnsblr.estel.net.in inetd[7518]:
/usr/openwin/lib/fs.auto:Hangup
    Dec 4 05:05:56 dnsblr.estel.net.in inetd[23494]: getpwnam: nobody: No

/usr/openwin/lib/fs.auto:Hangup

Please suggest what all this means,
