There is an easier way -- install netscape 6.X on the machine that has
the PST

Import mail into netscape 6 -- it will store it in mbox format on your
machine

Move the mail folder to whereever you want it to, and that's it

Has worked for me on two different laptops I moved from windows to linux

Not really.

The easiest way I found was to set up an IMAP server on the Sun box (I
use the WU one that comes with pine), and access that with Outlook.
Then you can drag and drop .pst messages/folders onto the IMAP server
and they will end up in mbox format (if that's how you set the IMAP up).

There *is* a utility out on the net to do this, but it is written for
x86 Linux and an older version of Outlook. I found the IMAP approach
easier, especially since I wanted to use IMAP on an ongoing basis
anyway.
