Depends on your monitor, which model do you have?

Also I have seen problems with some PC graphics cards and 3rd party
adapters, the Sun branded ones normally work 100%.

i have a sun monitor i would like to use on my pc but the adapters i have
purchased don't work. but i now there are some that work. if someone can
give me a manufacturer and model number or the place to purchas one it would
be very helpful.
