Hello,

Been reading "Solaris and LDAP" - a SUN blueprints book - and have a
couple of questions about authentication, which the book dosen't clear
up for me.

If root is an account in the ldap directory, then either the local
root or the ldap root's passwords can be used to gain system access
to the box?

Don't see any mention of wether an account has to exist on the
local machine before it will try to authenticate the user with the
ldap directory. (ie, no local user bob, but bob exists in the
ldap directory, can he authenticate on the local box?)

Thanks,
Matt
