Hi,
I have a problem with Compaq 845g Chipset PC with an external IntelPro
PCI NIC.The network performance is very slow, ping to another host on
the same switch takes < 500 ms and any telnet / ftp operation takes a
noticable time to throw the prompt. The onboard Intel 10/100 VE PRO NIC
does not get recognised with the latest (02/02) release OS and hence i
have put an PCI Intel Pro 10/100+ card.In the BIOS i have disabled the
onboard LAN.
Configuration Details :
PC : Compaq D380mx with DDR Memory
Mother Board : ABIT BD70g with Intel 845g Chipset
[with onboard NIC and Video]
BIOS Version : BD-70g 04/29/02
OS : Intel solaris release 02/02
NIC : Intel Pro 10/100+ with WOL
I notice that while booting the following is logged in messages file.

Also tried fine tuning /kernel/drv/iprb.conf to force autoneg and
100-FD, did not help.
Please let me if any one has any pointers to solve my problem,
Thanks & regards,
- Prakash
