[SunHELP] Q's about RAID on an E450.

Disksuite is available on Solaris 8. All levels of raid are available but
the disksuite refers to the options differently. i.e. Disksuite does not
say RAID 0+1 but striping in a mirror. If you open up the gui the Raid
choice that specifically says RAID is Raid level 5.
All internal drives can be RAided or mirrored using the disksuite or you
can add an external cabinet. Add drives or cabinet with drives and do a
boot -r. The OS will recognize the new hardware and rebuild the dev and
devices. Setup the partitions first on the drives using the format utility
and disksuite will take care of the rest. A good reference is the
Answerbook that comes with the O/S.
