Check your CD writer program for rock ridge support.. We use mkisofs to
create iso images that contain rock ridge and joliet names. There is a
win32 port if you need it.

Subject: [SunHELP] 8 character file names

Hi all,

I am reading a CDROM that was written by a R/W CD driver on win98.

Then solaris reads it as:

ts003~12.txt   ---> file name should be  ts0032_test0012.txt

all file names with more than 8 characters gets this ~ sign.
It looks like dos file.

I have specified to write as not 8 bit format in the CD R/W program.

How can i change all file names in a readable solaris format ?

Thanks,
Massaki.
